Workshop

Build Your Own Home Practice
Sunday, October 4, 2009
2:00-5:00
Body and Soul Studios
700 Exposition Place, suite 171

Take your yoga to a new level through home practice.  The act of doing yoga is called a practice because it takes continual care and effort to increase flexibility, build strength and to open our hearts to the bigger energy.  Having a home practice allows you to tailor your yoga to your particular needs and to take what you learn in weekly classes and develop it further.   This workshop will teach you how to build a practice that is right for you including creating a sacred space, learning how to sequence your practice, how to develop and vary your poses and what to do to stay motivated.  Materials will be provided that will give you some formats to work with for a variety of needs and time frames.  Many of us believe that if we are not able to have a long and rigorous practice it doesn't count.   What is important is that we come to our hearts, do what is appropriate for that day and celebrate the joy of the practice and the beauty of life.
